Default !!Help!!Auto theft insurance advice!

Long story short, my vehicle was stolen! It was recovered and appeared undamaged, theif(s) acquired my keys, so I had put in a claim threw my insurance to change out the ignition, they have been great, but upon getting it back today, I noticed a rattling noise in what appears to be my front drive train area, but only while I'm in gear, what should a guy do, is my claim closed, because I got my vehicle back? Has anyone ever been faced with this type of experience, and if so, what was the outcome. Vehicle is a mint condition '02 Nissan Xterra!

Contact your ins company and talk to the appraiser about it. Ask if they will cover a mech. inspection on it,which should have been done in the first place. If its a high wear item they wont cover it,but if it can be attributed to the theft or damage done it should be covered.

It should be able to be looked at. When I have done theft recoveries, the standard 150 pt type inspection shops offer is almost always done. At the very least it gives us a base line of where the vehicle is at when returned. Then, depending on the "list" of complaints we can decide whats new and whats old kinda stuff and how to proceed.
