Hey Pete, thanks for the info. I'm not against more stocking in lakes where it is sustainable.

I would stop short of comparing to other provinces. This always comes up but never seems to stick...

I'm curious, are you thinking particular lakes or a general stocking like we had before?

It's pretty simple for me, armchair bios are only to be taken with a grain of salt.

Hey all,
Just keeping this on everyone's radar.

https://talkaep.alberta.ca/northern-...ent-frameworks

Looks like we are in Phase 3 now.

Quote:
Phase 3 - Oct 2017
this is an upcoming stage for Northern Pike and Walleye Management Frameworks
Consult on specific Fisheries Management Objectives and regulation changes by waterbody or watershed

Phase 4 - Dec 2017
this is an upcoming stage for Northern Pike and Walleye Management Frameworks
Report back on engagement results and identify regulation changes
Does anyone know what the plan is for “Consult on specific Fisheries Management Objectives”. Public? Internally? Or was that the survey?

Also, posted back on Sep19 are the pike and walleye management frameworks from which, as I understand it, is the basis for setting specific water body regulations.
Both can be found on the right at the link I posted. There is a quick summary as well here:
