Worked with a guy in the late 80's who was living in an old house in Kensington with about 8 under/un-employed room mates/musicians.
One of the room mates worked at Seven-11 and would bring home massive amounts of expired stale dated food that had sat outside most of his shift.

Was like a food frenzy as they mobbed the guy every night as he came home from work carrying a bag.

I remember seeing green hued meat poking out of a Hoagie.
I believe that about 3/4's of that household only ever ate a meal when that bag of expired food came thru the door

I would have saved $7500 in recent dental work if I had only owned one of those in the 80's.

Such is life,in the eighties i used the lighter and the hilt ,but i did survive!!!!!

Couldn't afford a lighter in the 80's- But my eye socket was always handy

Never mind the 40 mile walk through 3 foot of snow to school, we used to have to open beers with CAPS on them not this ***** assed flip tab nonsense!!! Sorry to all the guys with manicures. But keeping in line with the thread a case of beer was $4.95 in 1979
