Default Impulse purchases

Not often I make impulse purchases.

Was just killing some time waiting for my wife to get her hair done in the area and popped in to No-Frills.

Not intending to buy anything.

But No-Frills has Mild and Hot Italian Sausage on for $1 a lb and Tuesday is Seniors day 10% off

So I bought 100 lbs last night for $90- ish

Today I am cutting out of the casings-mix the two together add some ground game and re-spice to my tastes-toasted Fennel seeds etc and re-stuff.

Christmas shopping done-Will gift 10 lbs to every family member. Cheapest Xmas ever.

Look on my Wife's face was priceless as I had all 100 lbs on the front seat when I picked her up at the salon.

What was your last impulse buy?

I was in Cabela's on the weekend checking out what was on sale. We got some Cabela's/Merrel hikers for Mrs Caber for $30 and I splurged a whopping $1.76 on myself for two Cabela's aprons (one on black and another in camo, both their the logo on them). At .88 cents each they said 'bring me to your wood shop and smear glue on me instead of on your clothes'.

Mrs Caber also found some items useful for some Christmas gift exchanges, among them were some margarita mixes and drinking paraphernalia that were 90% off. she grabbed a few $9.97 items for under a buck a piece.

Also from cabelas- 3 high end fish finders on a huge sale. I spent a few thousand, at regular price I would have never even thought if it.

For me, most things require a nod from the finance department.

Thankfully, IncrediGirl sure enjoys shooting, and encourages the IncrediBrats to do the same.

Mine was a Trager pellet grill at Costco. My wife had to run back to the frozen goods and I was left standing with the cart by the Trager salesman....Salesman was very knowledgeable and entertaining, had the kids doubled up laughing, 100% impulse and walked out with a new BBQ and it has turned into the best purchase ever

Well. A while back I spent about $12K for a certain Colt Python I wanted. In the time since, I found out it is worth 3-4x that...so I'm happy. Most impulse buys I'd be happy to break even!

Bought a Lund 14ft. side consul in Aug. Took it out once and realized how much I disliked pretty well everything about it. Sold it a few weeks later for a 1K loss and now am the fortunate one who has a better half that takes tons of fun in reminding me of this particular purchase on a whim I made.

Well, you just scorched my impulse buy record! End of the day, you will come out ahead, land is a good short and long term place to park your coin.

I tip my hat to your buy.

Well thank you. I figured I could not go too far wrong. A friend of mine just sold a very similar empty lot for $440k just down the road. Bonus is the place has a newer 24 x 20 garage to pack full of junk. Plus a 3 bedroom cabin. And we don't have to deal with any neighbors

Apparently. I talked to a guru in the USA who know's his stuff and that's what he figured it was worth at a Rock Island auction...it's a one of one. He sent this link to show me what things go for....my Python is different, but has some similarities to it. If nothing else, I've met some interesting people through this purchasing event! The individual who gave me the info has one of two 3" Carol Wilkerson Pythons, and his is the only one in new unfired condition. So he kind of has street cred...when you have a gun worth $100K USD +......hard to argue.

Went to Costco for steaks and came home with a margarita machine.

In my defense it was the 5th of May.

Ive heard mixed reviews about Auto Ordnance M1s but as long as its reliable ill be happy. I wanted something i can plink with and not worry about value, being a 100% replica isnt that important to me either which probably helps.
