Live Bear Trap

Anyone know if there are any regs on live trapping bears? or atleast making/selling a trap?

I'm making one with my Wildlife 20 class ( I'm a Fab/Mech teacher) it's almost done and we'd like to sell it for cost recovery.

It was part of a unit we were doing on exploitation of animals in Alberta and this was a great discusion item on how to deal effectively with dangerous game.

I already called the CO in Peace River, but they never got back to me.

Want to make sure I stay above board.

Well such a trap would sell better if you had the pictures of a bear in it. And besides I think it only fair that a hard working class of gr 11 students get to try out their trap !! Lol
Note - you may find this a hard sell with the administration, they always spoil anything fun in the name of liability.
Good for you I wish my HS fab class had done something so neat.
