LOL Everybody is waiting for the "right" deer. For some it's biggest antlers, for some it's biggest body, for some it's the best eating and for some it's first one close enough, dumb enough and long enough
Bushrat just hasn’t found the "right" one yet

That deer has some real good Genetics and could have been a hog. Nice job Dick and great write up! Hope the kids enjoy another good year as well.

Nice job Dick. Enjoyed the play by play. Makes me want to take my Grandfather's 760 pump out for my week long foray next week...

Here we go, round 2!

Rugersingle is up to bat this time, with me carting an antlerless elk tag as well.
We are gonna RV at a certain someone's place, where a luxurious 6' square blind awaits us.

Here goes nuttin.

Travel day tomorrow.

Stay tuned.

I had to take some immediate action to keep Rugersingle from shooting this buck. He kept going on about how it's a monster

Awesome Dave. Was kinda hopin you wouldn't shoot anything yet cause Dick might decide to come home and use his blind here. To tell you the truth I been getting pretty comfortable in that blind ever since, it's like a second home now, thinking of calling squatters rights on it. Every day I see deer and they keep getting bigger, pretty sure a crankers gonna show any day now. By the way bring propane, its getting kinda low....

Danged old military cartridges and round nosed bullets.

Filled my supplemental antlerless tag this morning on this girl.
Through and through, 154gr. RN Hornady's outta my #1 RSI, 7x57.
70ish yards.

Love it!

Got a kick out of the "teaser" antler picture in the messaging stream.
