Default Caribou on a walk about

A buddy called me to let me know a caribou was spotted by my place west of Grande Prairie. I went looking and found it. A little out of its way I'm thinking.

either he's having a hard time to find a cow, or he's moving to NWT

I'd say He is lost! Hopefully He finds His way before the status hunters get Him. Should be somewhat safe west of GP. That bull has to be 100km north of His range min. Cool pic.

"Cool pic" is right! I'm guessing most probably the only pic EVER...of a caribou in a cut canola field...

Yep. Made it all the way to Valleyview cutting across fields looking for the one other remaining Prairie Caribou cow and some clown shoots him and leaves him
there.
Sad world we live in these days

I thought the same when I seen it had been shot. What a waste. Hope they catch who did it.

Not the same caribou as one posted by Valleyview guy. I looked at my pic and GP bull has large rack on both sides. The photo of dead caribou has weak tine on one side. GP caribou is probably back in the Narroway by now.

Unfortunately it's the same bull. Same tops, same small bladed shovel on his right, same single timed shovel on his left.

Such a shame
