Default Southern section of The Bow

I was out on the bow in Fish Creek Park today and the water was high, brown and full of debris, pretty unfishable with spinning gear. Every cast would snag onto some drifting weed/vegitation and you could barely make out the flash on my spinner.
With conditions like this I'm wondering how the fishing has been further down south from Bassano to the Forks (askew) where bait fishing is allowed? I have Friday off and Im itching to try the lower section. Any info would be appreciated guys.

for two weeks in a row i have tried to fish that section of the bow in the bassano area and the water is incredibly low to the point where i could literally walk across with my waders on and not get past my knees. at least the spot X that i was at. for me it was a big waste of fuel, i will do maybe one more trip in the fall and hope it goes better. because of this i am kinda hesitant about hitting the forks.

As per above below the dam is very low water with tons of weeds. Tough fishing.

I was down at Bassano in the spring and did notice the water was quite low but I was hoping with all the rain we've been having that would have helped raise levels, guess not. Well thanks for the update guys.

Good charts here for checking flow levels etc.

If you look at the tail end of the graph you can see the levels came up briefly but they are plummeting again.
