Wifes 7mm-08, way late.

REM 700 SPS YOUTH 7MM-08 REM 20 LH.
Have had this rifle on order since the Edm boat & sportsmens show.
This is the first year that Rem has this callibre in a youth left bolt.
Would rather not say which shop we ordered it from, 'cus the owner is a good guy, but he just can't seem to get the order in. Next order, then the next.
So we want to ask around to any who know the owners of some of these other central AB gun shops to see if this rifle is in stock.
Any help appreciated.

It is likely no fault of the shop of the person placing the order. The convoluted US export rules really makes getting any sporting arms out of the States a right royal pain in the backside. No one knows when anything will arrive now, lots of 250 firearms at a time is the latest quirk.

Plan ahead is all one can offer for advice.

Looked at the same rifle for my son was told by wholesale that there was a chance they will not be in for opening day. Hope yours comes in quick.

They are Elwood Epps out of Orilla, Ont. I have ordered from them before and have even returned a shotgun that had cycling problems. They refunded my money, no questions asked. Shipping costs around 25.00. If you follow the link, they have 2 SPS youth left hand .243's in stock. They could probably order you one in. Good caliber, by the way. I bought it in a weatherby vanguard compact(20 in. barrel), for my 12 year old son and he can shoot it all day. Very mild recoil.

I have this rifle on order from Wholesale in Calgary. I happened to wander into the Canadian Tire on Macleod Trail at the same time the Remington rep was there. He told me they would probably ship in July. Still waiting though.

Talked to a guy at Canadian Tire today who seemed to know what he was talking about. He made several phone calls and was informed by a rep in Ont. that the SPS Left Youth 7-08 would not be in production until August and should arrive in Canada for the first of Sept.

We're keeping our fingers crossed but am also keeping an eye open for a back-up plan. Seems to be lots of 243s around in youth, but come fall they may be gone if a person waits too long.
