Default bullet weight for a .303

any body out there know how light of a bullet weight i could get for my .303 lightest i can find is 127 grains ,but it is fmj.

Hornady Makes a 123gr., 0.310" SP bullet, but slug your barrel first cause 303 barrel diameters are all over the place.
FWIW: 123 SP's at the velocities that a 303 can drive them at act pretty much like a varmint bullet, and their use on big game is somewhat a troublesome proposition.

Default .303 plinker

For a light weight plinker..I have had good success useing a 71 grain Hornady .312 Round nose FMJ ( made for .32 acp Pistols at about $14/100) ..from 1200 fps to over 3000 fpsecond.

I am fortunate in that my .303 will shoot .308 size bullets pretty good also and you may wish to try the 110 gr round nose (made for ,30 US carbine) or the 110 spitzer soft point that Speer ..Hornady..Sierra all make...
