Don Cherry’s firing is just part of more things to come in the next few years in regards to the direction this country is heading..

I don't think Don should have got turfed but not surprising it happened. Anyone remember Dave Hodge's pencil flip in 1987, HNIC turfed him for that. I hope to see Don on TSN in the future.

Is there more to the video in the first post? There must be more. "You people come here...". There must be more to justify all this outrage. If not, I do not understand where all the anger is coming from.
CBC and others are reporting about Cherry's "complaints about new immigrants".
Did anyone else hear him use the words "new immigrants" because I sure did not. I did not hear him issue a timeline on "people coming here. 1 year? 5 years? 30 years?
This is a case of many people trying to increase their moral currency by stepping on the back of someone else then boasting to others about the height of their horse.

My opinion of Ron went down, alot, after reading this from TSN:
"Cherry’s co-host Ron MacLean issued his own apology on a Sunday night broadcast.

What is sooooo wrong about saying he doesn't see people wearing poppy's?!? I honestly don't understand how it's wrong, offensive, hurtful, any of it. If it's true, I can't see it being any of those things, and if it's not, it's his personal, observable opinion, who cares?

I went to the sportsnet facebook page. From what im reading a huge amount of people are calling in and cancelling the sprtsnet channel. Some said the wait time is huge right now lol I say Good! Do not support a network that will not support free speech.
Everything they post on facebook is being hammered by Don supporters.
