I am a first year junior on a line 100 miles north of High Level. All year I was getting tormented by an extremely high wolverine population. I studied their habits how they where approaching my sets and their routines. I set several sets in areas where ever I had them cause destruction and finally caught three in one day and still missed several more as they where traveling in pairs. Looking back at it they are not any harder to catch then a Lynx but they tend to travel so much I found the key was to have sets made one step ahead of them since they may not come back to a particular area for a month or more if at all. I caught all three of these in double lynx pens all in the back trap, it almost seemed to me that they get extremely fixated on the front trap and let their guard down for any additional hazards. Two where caught in 330's and one in a 1/16 4 foot Lynx snare all 1 1/2 miles apart, the largest one weighs 39 pounds and the smallest one weighs 30 pounds (The biggest one on record at the High Level SRD is 45 pounds). For bait I was using tainted Beaver meat and Goose wings (just like for Lynx) but the difference was I smeared Marten Magic all over the trees inside the set. Once I caught these guys I was surprised to learn that a wolverine naturally smells allot like Marten Magic.

I would love to keep them but I need to sell them to subsidized this trapping habit, I am sure these wont be the last ones I get up there in my life time.

Probably get it mounted, but it might be forsale for the right price later. See how it turns out. I got over half a year to decide.

Impossible to get a pic of a seasons catch with multiple auctions, fur buyers, long seasons etc. but here is about 1/2 my catch of 71 coyotes, 3 fox, 2 beaver, one marten and a dozen rats (still chasing them). Always enjoy this forum, especially the pictures so thought I would post one.

Great pic. That is a pile of fur!!! I know because I tied you with 71 yotes this year along with 7 foxes , 3 weasel, 289 rats and 11 beaver.
They look great and hope the prices hold for next auction. I got to run the rest of my stuff in before the 10th I think is the last day to get it in isn't it?

Your doing well PCP. I hope you clean up those rats in that big lake you got. I got one lake with over 60 houses on it now that I will hit once this cold spell goes away. Also have another pond with another 20-30 houses on it as well. I hope for another 300 rats this spring. Just bought 60 more traps the other day from the U.S.A and picked them up at the inlays the other day when we went to visit. My wife is just shaking her head lol She won't mind when the fur check comes in though lol

Hey guys, I'm not a trapper but i wish I was so I really enjoy this thread! I was wondering if anyone can tell me what you guys do with the skulls off the critters you catch? I'm trying to build a predator skull display for my man zone but many of the animals you guys catch are not available in my area so I'm just curious if there's any chance of getting any from trapper. If anyone has any that they give away or sell or know the legalities to acquire them I'd appreciate any info you may have.
Thank guys and keep the pics comin!!

I'm pretty sure that I saw someone from this forum selling skulls in the Buy & Sell. I can't remember who but if you do a search of the B&S I'm pretty sure that you'd find the ad.
