Default suffield cow elk hunt done

our cow elk tag opend today so we drove out by schuler then towards the river seen a bull and a cow pulled over the truck wife got out shot the cow home by 930am while gutting and loading the cow the bull bugled at us from about 500 yrds away pretty desperate satalite bull.been on alot of pack out mountain elk hunts never on a prairie elk hunt the only way it gets any easyer is to go to one of them elk farms and shoot one I guess. but either way she got her first elk so were happy. now we have meat from a mountain bull and a prarie cow guess we will be eating elk steaks for a while I think the meat we packed down the mountain still tastes better though.

Been some guys kill some big sheep, elk, goats, whatever pretty quick and SEEMINGLY EASY on some hunts, wouldnt like to hear them compare thier hunt/experience to a canned hunt,,, they would likely just be lying to themselves and trying to b.s. everyone they said it to. If you have found a brick wall in your head and now even dislike the meat, take it and donate it to someone that wants it.
