Default Some Yukon Moose

Great year 4 nice moose for clients. Here's one:

And another slightly smaller but pretty too....

And another.

The fourth one Im awaiting pics on . My iPhone died.

Two of the moose we got on the same day. Furthest shot - 192yds. Closest shot was a bull I called from 700 yds to 24 yds. That is the one I am standing up with in the pic. Heart pounder.

Eva Shockey's caribou was bigger than Jim's this year........oh oh

And, as a bonus, they flew in an Argo to our West Lake camp, in pieces. Yup, just the parts. Me and Stan built it in the bush in two days. Only difference is we used nuts and bolts to secure the top and bottom instead of rivets. Otherwise, she is just like factory, although I am not currently offering a warranty on that one.....lol

Yup. Very pleased.

Had Tanner Adams as a cameraman this year. He is normally an editor for The Professionals. However, he has some super camera skill. He is headed to Europe with Jim next month. Great young guy. He definitely got what he needed at our camp. The kind of guy that would climb a mountain, tear his own heart out and give it to you so you could make it back.

In all, we had 47 different moose. Of those, 15 were bulls and 8 were shooters. We saw 16 Dall Sheep, two nice grizzlies, and a handful of caribou. No wolves or wolverines this year.

If you put a log under that first one's head a guy could probably use that rack to hang deer halves from.

Nice photos.

Awesome looking moose!!!! Congrats to you and your clients on some great adventures. I can't fathom the size of an Alaskan-Yukon moose....and then to have that monster within 24 yards......wow.......Congrats once again.

Wow, some gooders there Randy! That must have been really exciting, nothing like the anticipation of a bull coming to the call, but one that size, my blood is just pumping hearing about it! Thanks for sharing!

Good to see your back without any new Grizzly jewelry.

The hunters must be very happy, those are fantastic bulls.

I guess you didn't get the text from CACP to stay in the bush.

We strapped the bottom "plastic" of the argo to the float and wing support.

The top "plastic" was bent and twisted a tad but it fit in the plane.

The plane was a Beaver.
