It's kind of actually sad that you have to put in for draws to keep a fish in this province,

Even sadder that people look at it this way...
Also completely untrue.

It is sad, I just wish it was a free draw.

The cost of the tags is what burns me.

300000 fishermen and not enough support to even scoop up the tags that are allocated...what does that tell ya? Way to make your stance guys on the pathetic mismanagement of our waters. Add in the cost of pretty much every conservation officer devoting their time and efforts to nail the guy with the tag that fell off or a fish that is 2 millimeters short. Walleye, walleye, walleye big frigging deal. Sorry SNAPFisher hate to rain on your parade. Slap your tag on one of those floaters out from the provincial park in july and protect our precious resource. Bahaha.

fishingnewb if you applied and were successful with Class B tags you would not have a chance at Class C. Check your priority I bet you are now a 1 for class C. Draws work in the manner of Class A down once your drawn you don't get a second tag.
Too bad with all the undersubscribed licences the guys who have drawn another class aren't eligible. May help with allowing people to purchase (Silly) more tags to help meet the required/set quote numbers.

Thank you for your reply. I do agree it is silly, If I would have known that I wouldn't have wasted money knowing that.

What would be untrue about putting in for tags to catch a walleye

Not every lake needs tags to keep walleye

Class A for Pigeon for me and my wife was not drawn. Good enough.
A suggestion to those against the draw, write to those in charge of making decisions rather than continually cluttering up draw result posts. Year after year, is annoying and tiring. Thanks.

Does anybody know if you can still purchase the tags at places like Canadian Tire. By looking at the iformation on Alberta Relm I am confused. Reading what they say they have to be ordered thru Alberta Relm or an Alberta Wildlife Office.
Thanks in advance.

You are wasting your breath on here and particularly on a topic that is about draw results. If you do not like tags, take action / do something.
Also, how long has it been around now....10 years...longer I think. Time is ticking

Picked up underscribed class B tags for the wife yesterday. The cashier at the Fishing Hole mentioned how quickly they were going. Especially Lac St Anne class B. Pigeon still had about 750 Bs left but probably a lot less now.

I was drawn for A--wonder if would have been able to not bother and buy Bs instead? Too late for this year, but thinking ahead. Something sure changed this year to have all those Bs still out there

Yeah, that is a thought. Worked out great for me this year. I was expecting class Cs. That said, you have to be fast regardless as they were going quickly.
I would just like to thank all the tag whiners for not participating and making my season that much easier and better this year

Out of 4500 class c tags for pigeon and St anne combined....7 tags for pigeon and 8 for st anne have been scooped up by the walleye loving masses in the week that undersubscribed tags have been available. Don't choke on the bones SNAPFisher.

No worries. I fillet them boneless.
I'm sure the tags will get swept up. And if they don't, more fish to grow. Another win in my opinion.
Move along troll.
