Well, of course your right to hunt, fish and trap is limited to doing it lawfully. That’s what that means.
Taking away your right to do any of those things isn’t as easy as, “We could lose trapping with a stroke of a pen.” as has been said as a motivation to go along with someone’s agenda. That’s simply absurd.
In order to repel the Heritage Act it would literally take an Act of Parliament. An MLA would first have to present a Bill to Parliament. They’d have to discuss it and a majority vote would be needed for it to go any further. I’d like to know what party would want to commit political suicide by taking away these rights. Our Provincial Politicians have enough real issues to occupy themselves with besides this non-issue.
