VP Debate Tonight
It will be good. Biden has to swing for the fences. He's crafty. Ryan is smart and cool and well-informed.
Why should we care? Because there's no doubt that Romney would be good for Alberta. There's also no doubt that Obama isn't, and won't be, good for Alberta.
A Romney win might also help usher in a much-needed swing to conservative values in NA. I actually thought that might start with the WRA but we lost our nerve.
Anyway, it should be a barn-burner.

The one thing that I'm aware of is that Romney wants to get the Keystone pipeline put in asap in order to create jobs south of the border.

Keystone is a big one, for sure. There might be more in the future.
Romney's family owned a summer home in Ontario when he was growing up, so I think he is sure to know that Toronto is not the capital of Alberta, for instance. It'd be good to have a President that knows something about their northern neighbour and is comfortable here.

I think Joe Biden will have Rob Anders in his corner tonight... that guy says the dumbest things... even when coached. Should be good entertainment.

Yeah, but Anders makes some sense even when he has both feet in his mouth.
Biden doesn't just blurt out some gibberish every so often; he seems to actually lose his grip on reality.

Anders suffers from "Non-obscene Tourette's Syndrome", a subtle but insidious mutation of the original disease.

Yeah, maybe so...
Any predictions for tonight?
I'm thinking Ryan will mop the floor. Biden is folksy but he's an intellectual lightweight. They've been coaching Biden for a week. He might be wound up tighter'n a Switch watch. SPROoooing!

any VP debate without the bimbo Palin, should be okay, Ryan will do well, but Biden is no dummy, very well respected ...as though that says a lot about his peers, honestly don't know which way I would like to see the election go, OB is in over his head, Romney will be too...the only difference is Ob knows it, arrogant Romney doesn't...that scares me...

Ryan has to **** Biden off.... get his 'senile' going and he'll misstep. If Ryan pits jobs vs the environment.... Biden will bite, champion the environment... and lose in the polls.
Jobs trump green just about every time.

Ryan needs to step it up
Hes letting Biden finish the ideas...
His body language is poor.
Ryan needs to get a bit rude with Biden and get him off his game.
Bidens numbers presentation is better so far.
Wow. Ryan better pick it up man.

Biden was rude and bombastic.
If it turns out that Biden lied tonight when he said it was U.S. Intelligence who told the White House it was the YouTube video that caused the fight at the Benghazi consulate, Obama is toast.
My money says some senior bureaucrat will leak a cable or message or memo that proves Biden lied.

I'm no political analyst but my feeling is that Biden mopped the floor with Ryan.
I'll wait to see what the experts have to say but I wouldn't be surprised if I see a headline in tomorrow's paper reading........Ryan Owned by Biden.

CNN, and we know how liberal it is, has its polls showing Ryan beat Biden 48% to 43%. Seems Biden was perceived as rude and too cute by half.
Reality is that is will change nothing in the race; Romney's momentum continues, and Obama fights erosion in support.

Judging like debate club, Biden wins. Fact checker says both were wrong on certain issues. Judging as a person, Ryan comes across as more likable and genuine. Vote goes to Ryan.
Politically I'm likely between the two. Typical Canadian right winger and in the us I would be a centrist. But Ryan would be swinging me their way.

An instant poll by CBS gave Biden a win among uncommitted voters, 50% to 31%. 19% considered it a tie.
I believe that CNN's poll was a random sampling of voters as opposed to CBS's poll of uncommitted voters.
The articles that I've seen on the internet so far swing wildly either way. I guess that the articles written are somewhat influenced according to the editor's bias.

Yah It depends whose poll you read. I just read one that said Ryan won by a 4% margin. Who knows. people change their mind up until they enter that booth and make their mark.

It's going to come down to Florida, which is shifting towards Romney, and Ohio, which will probably go to Obama. It all will depend on how the Electoral College votes come down. Nice to see Colorado going Romney, and even, which I found really interesting, Oregon might come into play, although that is a long shot.
