Default Hypothetical question

If a trapper is convicted of an unrelated Wildlife offense, does that affect his Trapper status ?

Go to the wildlife act. page 56. section 101 and read through it.

Not sure if a resident trappers licence would be considered a recreational licence. It probably depends on just what kind of charges were laid too.

I am pretty sure it works the other way...if you are trapping without a license you can lose your hunting privileges.

I knew a guy who took a deer from the wrong WMU on a draw and lost all hunting and trapping privileges for a year and had to retake a hunter ed course and a trapping course to re-instate hunting privileges. This happened 5 years ago in Edson. I can't find the link to the article but he was a land owner that finally got caught. Most offences carry an automatic suspension of hunting privileges and with win cards and trapping licenses coming from the offices of parks and recreation, I would think that they would suspend all hunting activities associated with that win number.
