Default I Checked on Beaver Today

Now that my muskrat floats are out, I had a little time to check a drainage ditch where I knew there were beaver. I'm thinking that it's time to set a few 330's.

This is one side of the road.....

And here's the other side of the road.

They are storing all of the branches in the middle of the ditch.

Get at em Dave , I took a couple large ones yesterday for damage control . Don't know how prime they are , but the trees can't hold out any longer .

Looks like a beaver hwy. Should be able to harvest some there without too much work.

I have been doing ADC work lately and the last beaver I got 2 days ago I skinned it looked not too bad. The others were quite weak. This ones belly fur looked thicker than the others.

I was wondering about that, Bill, thanks. The weather doesn't look like it's going to take a sudden drop in temperature so I think that I'll hold off a bit on trapping these guys. I've got plenty of muskrats for coyote bait for now but the carcasses will come in handy I'm sure.

I am using beaver carcasses for coyote bait. I have been freezing them for about 4 days and then placing them out for bait.
