Default Ugliest Non-Mange Coyote of my Career

I believe this to be the ugliest non-mange coyote that I have ever killed. I suspect that he either had the "shoulder-lice" but he may have had a different type of lice? Or even different condition.

Once upon a time folks referred to a grade "V", this would have made that grade!

Also note... Flattened by the Magnum Stinger! Look at the cable, perfect condition. Couldn't tell you what lock tho, may have been an old style Camlock with hand filed teeth, or a Lightning Lock.

Reason I think he is a lice coyote, look at the stain on the belly.

Maybe Plucked and Sheared Coyote will become the next hot trend.

I had a couple of wolves about 5 yrs ago that were just like that. Void of most of their guard here. That was before I started seeing the shoulder mites affecting the coyotes around here. Not good hopefully it's the last one you see like that.

Marty, the Wildlife Disease Unit in Edmonton might want those photos and info, (if you haven't already done it). Page 35 of the latest Alberta Trapper maq. They are asking for trapper input and it will help in the long run.

Well Marty not much hair there to stop your kill spring from getting that wire really tight in a hurry. I think that short hair is why some times a cougar gets killed with a kill spring, 265 BAD combo.

Nice catch by the way.
