PETA want us to use the expression "Feed two birds with one scone" instead of "Kill two birds with one stone". I will use the new expression, but "Scone" is going to be the nickname for my shotgun.

The interesting thing is the song is about a time when a woman could not be seen with a man outside wedlock. The celebration of the song is female empowerment and right to live one’s life without fear of ridicule. This song has nothing to do with date rape. People want to read into things wrong and no one is there to call them on it.

Some th8ngs are obviously wrong. This song is not one of them.

Do you realize you are no longer "Special" and there is no one left to feel pity and heap attention on you?

Did you ever CONSIDER that you now will have to go and find a NEW MINORITY to join, so you can once again be "OFFENDED"????

You good Sir, ARE ON A SLIPPERY SLOPE!

You good Sir, are no longer "SPECIAL" and no one will pay any attention to you.

So, maybe if you were "less offended" you would not have to go and find a new Minority Hill to stand on so you could continue to be "SPECIAL".

(Or, you could just accept that you should suck it up and go get a Job and be a silent productive member of Society I suppose!!!!)

OOPS!!! I just gave you something to be OFFENDED ABOUT!!

I got strapped on the hand when I was in grade school. Lots. I'm a survivor but I didn't get no damn settlement. I'm offended.

Ain’t that the truth, twisted. My Dad tells me the story of his school years back in 1960ish, one day the teacher had enough of the boys behaviour, so he says “ starting tomorrow, each day one of you will get a whipping regardless of your behaviour that day, good or bad” well next day comes around and guess who’s first on the list, Dad. So he gets a good thrashing, hadn’t misbehaved that day at all. Apparently the program got shut down that same day yet...

He didn’t file a complaint 50 years later or expected compensation for it. Doesn’t feel offended about it either.
I think he kinda enjoys telling the story now

Well, I can say with authority....i always had it coming. We had a teacher in the second grade, a serious Blue Hair lady who would brook no nonsense, as she said. Her 'strap' was an 18" long piece of that clear green garden hose, remember those? With some black hockey tape for grip.

Years later, my friends and I still shudder and laugh about her. We used to whisper she was a guard at Auschwitz before she went into teaching...

I got the strap twice in the 80's and wish it was still prevalent today

What is ironic, I married my wife and one of the principals that gave me the strap back in the day is her Uncle....We laugh about it every time we get together...

Very respected man though in the school system
