Saw 3 smaller bucks in a group of 8 does. All feeding together, none more interested in one than the other. Didn't even lookup at a call.

Put on more than a few kms yesterday and only saw one scrape so far. I did see a doe hunched over like a dog trying to do his business at 30 yards the look on its face was priceless.

In 334 seen a ton of scrapes and rubs.
Seen a few bucks so far and they all have been alone but still weary hiding along the tree lines and stuff.

In one field this morning i saw 5 small bucks chasing does all over the place. A couple miles down the road i saw a pretty good buck chasing a doe. He stopped at the fence so i had a real good look at him. His neck was as swollen as they get. It may not be peak rut but i would imagine some does are coming into heat and getting bred.

Lol
That make ya feel better Salavee? Maybe science isn't your thing I guess? Maybe there are small pockets that breed early? I personally have not seen a doe getting mounted this early. But conditions are ripe for a really active pre breed rut show! Being outside, any day in November, that's the key! Lol

Another guy that seems to think that the so- called Rut and the peak Breeding phase are the same thing. The focus for many seems to be on the peak breeding phase, which they call the Rut. In reality, the Rut and all Buck activities that relate to the upcoming breeding phase begins in October... and yes , Does are bred prior to the peak breeding phase. As with any "peak " there is an ascending curve that leads up to the peak and descends from there. Hard to figure ? No Diploma required.

I'm not sure why you believe your sharing info that wasn't already obvious?
I commented on your BS post, about everyone on here being bios. Not sure why you believe your take on this is any different than all the other posts, it's a terminology issue. I think when most talk about "The Rut" it's the peak breeding time they are referring to, right or wrong. That time is about 11 days away.
But hey, add me to the wanna be bio list I guess, but I have nailed this date for many years, and rarely miss the Peak.

My take is not any different than most and concurs with your's 100 %.
My point was that if the "Rut", as referred to by many, is the peak breeding phase. when is "pre Rut" as referred to by some on here.? .. and I wasn't referring to you personally.

Any action yet?
Hey guys, First post on here I've been trolling the forum for awhile but have yet to post.
Anyway, Are you guys seeing any full blown rut action yet? I've been seeing bucks mid day hanging out together and sometimes with a group of does but they don't seem to be very interested.

Lots of pre rut up north. Pretty slow going compared to years past. Elk are moving pretty good though so that's the silver lining

Was out in 108 on Nov 9 and 10. Ran into quite a pile of whitetails. Plenty of bucks in the mix. Several big bucks were locking horns while a few smaller bucks were tending to the does in the herd. I took the big guy and he was definitely in full rut.
I am used to only hearing the elk bugle in September, but there were definitely a few bulls still bugling. Sounded like they were still in rut.

Little sparring going on, have not seen any bucks chasing doe's, hanging around, making scrapes, like to come into the rattling too, no hogs yet...

I saw a hundred does in stubble fields this morning on my way out to my lifeless spot. Some evidence of sparring bucks but no bucks. Next year, I am driving to all my neighbors to introduce myself and ask permissions. We are trying extremely hard to get my 13 year old his first deer. Monday, Tuesday I am keeping him home from school to get it done. Extra Doe or 2 on your property in the GP area PM me!
