Default 2019 Antelope forecast down south

Just reading that it's very dry and no snow in the south ,what's the antelope looking like I guess it could be good and bad if there's lots of fires there's no access but there's more goats.

How many is not many? An actual number please.

It's way too early to declare how this winter will effect Pronghorns.
Wait till June.

It's way too early to worry if fires will limit access.
Wait till September....

How much of an impact is there on the migration from the states with an early spring/mild winter?

Is it noticeable on the population in southern alberta(say up to the red deer river)?

The goats did not fare well through the winter of 2017 and their population was reduced in a big way in the area I hunted and scouted for 3 mths culminating the end of October 2018. It will take more than a 1 mild winter to see a difference IMHO.

We have zero snow in SE Alberta right now and I mean literally ZERO, there are fire restrictions in place as we speak.

I spent 13 hrs on the Block hunting cow elk on Jan 14/19 and the volume of goats was quite encouraging(yes I realize it's a haven for them).

i'm out looking for coyotes everyday and am really disheartened by the number of goats i'm seeing. where most years I can see a hundred in a day, i'm seeing maybe one little bunch of 3 or 4, and sometimes not even that.

rancher friend where I hunt says he doesn't know where they've all gone; most years there are 3 or 4 herds of 30/40 animals.....this year he has one little bunch of 4

doesn't seem to me that prospects are good, even if we had 100% birthing success

I agree bud, I snare about 20 miles west of you near the border and have seen none , zero speed goats this winter in places where there are usually little wintering bands of 15-20 .. I'll be 999 ing my draw for a few more years.
