Hello, Did somebody fish on Hasse lake? Will try tomorrow.

Was out there over the holidays Perch were averaging 8 plus inches.

I noticed in the ACA monthly report.That Hasse is on the list ,to be reclaimed as a trout fishery

It was once a very good trout fishery.


Due to low water levels ( prone to winterkill) and other factors it has not been a viable lake for a few years.

It has become a bird haven with high fecal matter levels.

If there are perch in there ( ope not) I would certainly not eat them.

If they are going to stock trout again it would be nice to see a few aerators, some special regs and varied species.

If they don't aerate, winter kill is most likely on a consistent basis due to lower water levels.

It’d be worth a shot for the day. I’m not trolling. I think it’d be worth a try to hole hop and have a static GoPro under the ice. Maybe I’ll bite the bullet next weekend and go for it

I remember fishing that lake back in the late 70's early 80's (only from shore as a kid) You could catch some darn good sized Rainbow out of there. I don't believe it's the water levels as much as the run off from farms.
