I would like to try some river fishing. Where are some good locations to fish in or around the Edmonton area along the North Saskatchewan.

Ughhhh... USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION, or go look for yourself, use google maps or something... Been on this forum for a year and already am soo sick of ppl asking for nsr spots in edmonton. I found my spots by myself (with a fishing buddy) using maps or hiking. You should try it..

Sorry if I upset you. But it is my understanding that a forum is there for people to interact with each other and help one another out. Just because you don't like something that someone says doesn't mean you have to try to knock them down a notch. Read it, grumble if you must then move on to the next post.

We are not giving you a hard time but pointing out more options. I would start with google earth and follow the river looking for the roads that come near rivers.
I would also suggest you stay of the outside of the city since many of the popular places have been fished quite hard in the city.

Thanks Paul C. I am just trying to plan ahead. I should have worded my post better. I am not looking for specific fishing holes. Just a place to park the car so I can explore on foot along the river. I do appreciate your help. I'll see what I can find on google maps.

Gold Bar Park straight down 50 st. Fish the outflow by the treatment plant. Quesnel bridge outflow across from Whitmud Creek. Fort Saskatchewan where the Sturgeon River flows in. Epcor Station down Meredian St towards the dump, it's a bit of a walk but usually good fishing. Good luck fishing! This is prime time in the next couple months!

I only make it up to Edmonton for infrequent overnight business trips. Hitting the NSR for a couple hours after work is a great way to unwind. Thanks for some advice on locations.
Everything I catch will be going back in all the wiser and will be waiting for you the next time.

not sure why your using 2 different names on this thread (toad wille/fishin daddy), but it all depends on where you are in edm. if you want want to get out for a quick fish, esp. now that the days are getting shorter.
