Default Quigley Ford Scopes

I had seen the product advertised on Wild TV. Does anyone out there have this item and/or what are your thoughts on it.

From google:
http://quigleyfordscopes.com/index.htm

They are Canadian based, so that's good, I'd like to know where they actually get those scopes made?
What's the warranty like?

New optics breaking into a very traditional market is tough,
The only way to know is put your hard earned cash down, and see what a purchase brings.

Power to them if they're actually Canadian, although I wonder where the scopes are made, and I don't see anything special that would make me want to try one.....and whats with the "COOL" dude on top of the page?.....site looks kinda cheezy to me......

Or maybe I'm just in a bad mood.......

Default Riffle ???

I won't be buying anything for my rifle from someone that sets up a website and spells it on the home page as RIFFLE. I agree on the cheesy dude photo as well. The might as well have put a pic of David Hasselhoff there. At least they'd sell scopes in Germany.

I'm out.

Default Quigley Ford scopes origin

Guys, I suggest you use the 800 number listed on the website and ask the man your questions before beaking off. The tubes are Chinese, the glass is German. Assembly and reticles are Canadian. The owner is a no BS guy. Call him and ask away.http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/images/smilies/smile.gif

I agree 100% with you. Dont knock something until you try it. The owner is a great guy and these are great scopes. I have one on my 22-250 and my 300 win mag and I love these scopes. These are very accurate and are great for long range shots. I also know some other guys using these and they love them also. You can order them online from the Quigly Ford website and he can also build you a scope specific to your needs.

Default fence post shot

Are those the same ads where they put a block of something on the fence cross brace and shoot it from 2-300 yards. Didn't look like an adequate backstop to me with only trees in the back ground.

So when you hunt you only shoot at animals that have an adequate backstop behind them? My brother has one on his 300 and likes it.

Default As a matter of fact

yes I do only shoot at animals with adequate backstops and I don't target shoot where someone could be walking in the trees.

So let me get this straight. Because you dont like the ads for these scopes cause of a backstop issue that means that the scopes are junk? A backstop has absolutly nothing to do with the quality of a scope.

on scope at all I just asked if that was the commercial where the guy shoots with what appears to be a poor backstop. That has nothing to do with the quality of the scopes just an observation on the commercial.
Nice derail pics TJ

Sorry that was my misunderstanding. I just checked and the commercials they use are the one you mentioned with the poor backstop.

I have one and it does not like my .300 wsm! if you like to dance with a scope buy mine! And yes it's my 3 rd one on exchange! 4 shots and all 3 are out 1-2". just range the target and aim maybe good for hunting but my bushnell 3200 is 10 time's bettr IMO!

Longrangehunting.com is running a contest right now and giving them away as prizes. I don't know if that is much of an endorsement but I'd bet they are pretty fine optics.
