Default Sub-MOA Rifle - CHALLENGE

Lots of sub-MOA shooters on this site so here's an opportunity to challenge yourself.
Target is to be made by tracing around a loonie - to create five circles on a single panel.
The CHALLENGE is to have your bullet touch inside the traced border of each circle for five consecutive shots. Five shots per panel only.
Target to be shot at 100yds/meters.
No rifle, caliber, optics, or rest restrictions.
Successful shooters are asked to post a pic of the target panel, and rifle used.
Below is a sample target.

What's caused this? (as if I need to ask...)

I believe there are already a few of these threads. Why do we need another one.

Only benefit I can see here is it alleviates the "how to measure a group" requirement.

Well now arent you a downer. Its because its fun! I enjoy little challenges like this as it makes me strive to be a better shooter and reloader.

Shooting in, and reloading for cold temps can be more of a challenge than some think ... as is putting five consecutive shots sub-MOA. Sunlight reflecting off snow can create mirage like conditions that result in dancing reticals. "Doing my part" in the cold is often not the same as "doing my part" during ideal conditions....at least that is my theory. Just cuz it's getting cooler is no reason to keep your finger off a trigger.

I would bet on any 30BR's making the cut but I'm focused on some barrel comparison testing that needs groups

How many barrels of each manufacturer are you testing? Which are you testing, be interested in the results as well

Fair enough, I was just questioning the need for multiple MOA challenges.

Yes, we all know the false claims of MOA rifles and shooters, I just felt this would fit nicely with what we already have. A 1/2 MOA, 1 MOA, etc challenge.

CGN has plenty more so you can strive to have your name up with all the others.

I'd like to try, but truthfully I don't think I am. My gun/load may also not be. Jury barrel waiting to go on.... can't hurt right?

At least your thread title doesn't include the words "PROVE IT!"

The range I shoot centerfire at is 2 hours west of me...so I can't contribute until after Christmas probably. However...since this looks like a fun thing to try, I made-up a target and have it available in .pdf if you'd like to message me your email address. No charge/not affiliated with a business/ etc. Did my best to make the "Toonies" the actual size of 28mm (=1.1" approx)

Here is a jpeg of what it looks like.

***BTW~if the OP would rather have people stick to his idea, I won't take offense. Might be easier for people without printers (or access to them) to trace a loonie 5x on a pc. of paper. Moderators/ADMIN~delete this post at your discretion.

Here is a link to dot drill targets I use:

http://www.stormtactical.com/stu/MOA_targets.pdf

If you notice, Target Drill - 1" (page 3 in the pdf) is comprised of 1 moa dots, which are to scale if you print at 100%.

Groundhogger... The idea is to get out and do some cold weather shooting. The idea in the OP is to standardize the target which means shooters need to actually get out and shoot new targets rather than posting targets they may have shot last summer using some other form of target.
Quinn ... I am trying to encourage shooters to get out to do some shooting, and the idea of only requiring 5 shots will hopefully attract participation from a wider pool than some of the other challenges.

I was thinking that since hunting season is over and I have 17 cartridges to burn up so I can reload the whole batch again, I was maybe gonna try it this weekend. I will give it a go, as with other challenges I have tried in the past they are not was easy as they first appear.....I wonder if anyone would notice if I shot 5 random holes in a piece of paper then drew loonie circles around them....

Ya...

To easy with just the one shot, think I will just step off the deck into the hundred acre woods and shoot from field positions.
