Pine Coulee, about 6” of ice, hard and clear, with hardly any snow. I was expecting it to be a little thicker.

A majority of the lake froze only recently, be super careful especially if you are deciding to go for a scouting on you snow mobile.

Good thing we’re only walking out less than a hundred feet from the boat launch. Would hate to discover a super thin spot on a scouting mission!

Default Upper K

Lots of snow and some slush under certain sections which make pulling a sled very difficult.

Ice was 10 inches thick on Boxing Day.

Default Isle Lake

15 inches of clear hard ice. Lots of trucks on the ice.

Fishing was great until the *******s pulled up next to us with two trucks and three side by sides and setup shop. Closest hole i paced out was 7 winter boots from my bumper. One of their bastard children drove a snowmobile between my wife and I sitting about 10 feet apart.

between 9-11" inches ice on Twin boxing day. Took the duramax and small flatdeck out across the ice from east access. Seemed to be the first truck tracks out there. Few others were out without their vehicles.
Being the first is always a little nerve wrecking, hearing all the ice popping and such but was worth it just to watch my wife loose her mind during the drive to my spot, haha

my wife was freaking out driving across Cross Lake and I only had my Tacoma, and there was 16" of ice. That was yesterday, today she was much more relaxed.

Let’s leave this what it is. An ice thickness thread. Nobody wants an argument in an informative thread like this one.

No whites seen. Just caught a pike. Jigging a minnow in the shack with camera.
Jaw jacker about 25 yards away loaded with wire worms.
