Looking to buy a co-ax presss, is the Forster preferred over The Frankford? Any differences between the two? Thanks.

Forester, read the reviews
unless the FA has changed it had lots of problems when it came out,
Hirsch precision gave full refunds and dropped the line as I recall
good design on the FA but cheap bad quality in the beginning
not sure about now, I almost bought a FA just to try it but saw the problems and backed away

To some seasoned reloaders the Forester Co-ax is the zenith of metallic cartridge reloading presses, I don't own one but plan on upgrading from my old Rockchucker one of these days. Not saying I would buy the Forester as I have a notion I will end up with Reddings large single stage press. D.H.

Go with the Forster. I have yet to find anything not to like.

Forster is made in USA and the FA in China I believe.
I have a forster and love it. Just a few minutes ago I did a bunch of depriming to show a friend of mine. Ran a 223, 270, 270 wsm, 243 and 38 SP through one after the other. No shell holder changes just pop pop and done.
I guess the only drawback is that you should get the forster die lock rings for your dies. Some say it doesn't matter but I just like the way they fit so I ordered a dozen.
I also really like the primer seater on top. Does a really nice job. I have an RCBS hand primer tool but it doesn't really seat them deep enough.

If you see a Forster co-ax for sale, you have to jump on it. They are usually only in stock for a very short time and they sell quick. You'll also be very hard pressed to find a used one. Took me just over 6 months to find mine. Got it from Hirsch Precision a couple years back.

Another vote for the Forester. Mine is only 5 years old. I would never give it up. I have heard from a few fellow shooters that there are issues with the FA. I’ve never owned or tried one, so I can’t comment on it myself.

Forster co-ax has been around for a long time and is proven . I have had one for some time and if it ever crapped out I would buy another , however I doubt I will ever wear it out

You can try calling Forster and finding out who they have shipped to recently, but, no doubt Xmas has screwed that up. Only two dealers in Cda as far as I know, X-reload and Hirsch. You can call them and see what they quote for delivery, order one and wait, or take your chances and keep an eye on Brownell's, Natchez and Midsouth, Gun Stop, in the US, but, expect a 100.00US bill for freight. Forster just put out a notice that no more direct International shipping is available from them. Too busy I guess.

Once you get a Forster Co ax, you won’t go back. I do have my old rockchucker and a hornady press on my bench as well, but rarely use them. The Co ax is front and centre.

Not one of the two your looking at, but if I had the money I would consider the ZERO press from Area 419 it looks amazing 😁

Seen a few people complaining about Hornady micro-adj seaters with the FA, and probably what are older Forster B2 and Bonanza's lately, too tall for the yoke to clear them.

I don’t have a Forster co-ax press but based on the quality of their dies that I use, I would have no qualms with using their press. Great FL sizers and seating dies. Run good brass into them and you’ll have straight ammunition.
