I was there on Monday. A lot of snow cover with some area's with a lot of slush and top water under the snow. From the dock at the camp ground we were out a few hundred meters 6 inches hard ice but a fair amount of snow. Fishing was very slow not just for 3 of us but the other fisherman I talked with also said nothing much happening. Thought we would at least hook into a few small perch but nada on that as well.

Not safe to drive on but ok for sled or atv. Good luck

Anyone been recently? I'm heading to Sundre area in a few days and thinking of punching a few holes for a morning fish.
- How much snow? Possible to get around on a quad?

Default Burnstick Lake

I am thinking of taking the kids out on Saturday. Its a couple hour drive so hoping someone can give me an update on the ice conditions before I pack up.

I was there a week ago. Went out from the Resort.
Fished hard from 8am to 2pm in multiple spots and depths....didn't mark a fish or feel a nibble. Gorgeous day otherwise.

** Numerous areas had 2-3 inches of slush under the snow. I had my quad pulling the sleigh, and a couple spots I came close to burying the whole outfit.

I was there a week ago and it was super slow then too. Marked tons of fish all day but could not get them to bite. Threw everything I had in the tackle trays at them plus maggots, mealworms, worms, shrimp, and minnows. Caught 1 8" perch around noon on the deadstick and that was the only bite.
