Default Winchester Model 70 MOA trigger.

I purchased a Win Model 70 with moa trigger. I adjusted and played with the trigger screw and the lowest I can possible get the trigger is 4.5lb. I looked into buying a trigger spring from Erniethegunsmith.com, But they won't accept payment from Canada or ship to Canada. I want to try the trigger spring route first before I spend $250 on a Timney. Anybody have insight on a trigger spring or know the dimensions of the spring so I can try and find one elsewhere?

A lighter spring will make that trigger excellent. I have done them using springs from a Wolff spring package. Knock out the trigger pivot pin and pull the trigger out the bottom. Feed the new spring through the small window. It's tricky to get the spring back into place but it will go with patience.

You maybe able to cut a ring off the existing spring and get it lower too.

A gunsmith should be able to do this all for 50$ if you can't find a spring that works.

I purchased a trigger spring for a Savage from Rifle Basix. They had no problem taking the order or shipping it. The spring made a world of difference to that trigger
