Using tree bark or cedar mulch for tanning

Anyone on here used actual bark they pulled off a tree for bark tanning? Or used cedar mulch or chips from the walmart landscaping bags ?

I have alum tanned, chrome tanned and bark tanned in the past. Just thought on the next step.

In dehairing step currently on my deer hides.
