Default Wondering what game birds have white meat besides ruffles?

As the title says I have only hunted ruffies and spruce grouse. What other game birds have white breast meat.

Blue grouse...... big meat... like more than a pheasant almost... all white yummy goodness.

I just ate my last one... super pooch and I are headed to the high country for two more this week.

It’s a workout to get them, but the views, sweat, nd meat are super worth it.

Try pigeon .... it’s kinda whiteish.... sorta.... very yummy! Buggers are zig zaggy hard to shoot.

Default dark breast meat is strong often long distance flyers like ducks and geese.s

Galliformes are primarily ground birds that can fly for short distances.
All gallinaceous birds have the white breast meat.

Seagulls. A Maritimer I was fishing with about 10 years ago told me they eat them. He said they are white fleshed and delicious.

Default yes huns are included

The grey partridge (Perdix perdix), also known as the English partridge, Hungarian partridge, or hun, is a gamebird in the pheasant family Phasianidae of the order Galliformes, gallinaceous birds.

well maybe they're included in someone's list, but i've never seen a hun with white meat like a pheasant. obviously you know more about it than i do (judging by the big words you use), so please forgive me for disagreeing with you.

All the huns I've eaten were pretty dark like sharptail too.

Doves and pigeons have white meat.

I've eaten Pigeons going back into the 70s & have never had one with white meat. Always dark & has a sort of Liver taste / texture.

When talking about dark meat, I was thinking like the spruce grouse. As for the grey partridge the meat is not snow white ,but neither is a pheasant. But roasted with sage stuffing, and in with a beef roast to retain the moisture, they are the best.

In my experience with pheasants, the younger the bird the whiter the meat. An old wild bird gets pretty dark in the breast. We once ate a very young mallard, the breast was almost snow white. And delicious!

They're considered the ' Queens bird '
They're **** hawks if you ask me. But hey, people eat puffins and other sea birds. I imagine if you brine it properly you could get the gamey taste out of it. I brine spruce grouse and ptarmigan when introducing people to the meat their first time. They work great for 'chicken parm' recipes.

Partridge fall in the middle I find, just a little darker then a pheasant but taste very similar. Sharp tails are a fair bit darker and gamier
