About as positive as an article on trapping could be in the MSM.

Gordy is a great ambassador for trapping... and hunting.

Excellent article and Gord projected a very positive image of trappers.

What a great ambassador for the lifestyle! I'm very impressed and very happy.

Cudos to you, Gord!

Default Gordy

I have met Gordy on manny ocations and he is the most down to earth guy you can meet he tells it how it is and treats every trapper or non the same I am proud he is our ata president and he does allot more than anyone even realizes. Gordy personally does a trappers cource for us down south for new trappers because he has such a passion for trapping he wants young trappers carrying it on which has been a troubled one in the southern part of the province. If Gordy reads this or anyone who sees him tell him the south country trappers are very appreciative. Rod Graham.

Always read and enjoy his articles in my monthly AO magazine. The journal article was very good.

I put a comment on there as well. We all should. There are a couple losers on there posting their crap already.

Great artice. I would post a comment except I refuse to have a facebook acccount so I guess I am out.

Comment about not checking the foothold traps as often as mandated though will be fodder for the anti fur segment. Maybe rightly so? Sometime we dont do ourselves any favors.

Great article. Nice to see the Journal writing about fur as much as they have this year. I think this makes it their 3rd or 4th article. Now we just have to get more people in some nice Canadian fur coats!

Great article. Gordy said he spent a good deal of time with journalists this season, looks like it went well.
Also Trapper Gord's has moved to the new location, further west on 43. Haven't been there yet but am looking forward to it.

It really is great what he has done and continues to do for us and I won't get my traps from anywhere else but him cause everytime I've gone there or dealt with them they have been nothing but friendly and helpful. And I don't think there is anything anyone can say to change the minds of some of those anti trappers commenting on the article because they don't understand that the over population for some of these species can be much worse for them along with other species as well. I would like to see trapping become more public and accepted but it may just have to stay how it is and there's nothing wrong with that either I guess. I just started trapping at the beginning of this season and I was hesitant to discuss it with people at first and now that my family and co-workers know that's my main hobby (more of an obsession) now everyone wants to come check out the line and wonder what I have caught lately and very supportive and I just think it's awesome!
