Default Lost at the Range?

Curious about how Ranges deal with lost/found items? At SPFGA we have a growing collection of “found” items waiting to be claimed given that we are seldom asked “Did anyone turn in the (item) I left on the (name of Range) on (date)? It is my experience that range members are very honest and do turn in things they find.

I can't offer info with how other ranges deal with items. I would suggest after a certain amount of time once the item is deemed abandoned that it would be donated to a new or young shooter/hunter/outdoor enthusiast. Pay it forward so to speak.

we have a growing number of "dontated" muffs and glasses that we put on the wall for range use for those that forget or bring guests. larger more expensive items are kept in a locked room. so far either than the odd jacket or mag loader everything has been claimed.
