I don't hunt big game, but always check zero/practice before spring groundhogs. I was out on the long weekend coyote hunting with the same rifle and for the first time in it's life, it took a good bump. The scope on it is the best quality I've ever owned so I THINK it should have held zero just fine...but I won't hunt with it again until I know it has.
Even varmints deserve a quick demise.
