Newel has lots of ice for walking or quad as of Tuesday! Should hold for a bit longer unless shore ice starts to go

No snow on the ice and slippery as heck, what a horrible time to forget my cleats.
Down to 8" and less on the north end, open water spots, soft at shore and old heaves are all open.
Fishing was on fire though, 2 guys in six hours, 33 flags, 15 landed with the largest at 9lbs.

Lake is wide open around Lomond bridge.

At the North end, there is about 10" of soft ice.

If it stays warm, the lake might be open before the season closes!

I couldn't see that being a problem, I won't be out that way until the 12th next, hoping for ice still.

At travers the ice is pulling away from the shore. I'd be extra cautious going out there.

Default Gull Lake

Hey guys,

Looking to get out this weekend to Gull Lake for some fishing. Can anyone please tell me how thick the ice is around brownlows or sandy point? Is there lots of snow? Flood water?

Thanks in advance

Default Ghost Reservoir (Cochrane)

Any ice updates here?

Was there 2 weekends back and 20" of solid ice -- no issues with trucks everywhere.

Any updates for Lac St Anne? Ice still strong enough for full sized trucks?

Same question for Wabamun.

Last Friday, there was a pressure ridge forming just South of the launch, which had broken the ice up, near the shore. I could see the bottom of the lake. Ice was still about 16", but conditions are not necessarily favourable.

Default Gull Lake

Still solid 20" of ice off of sandy point. Will definitely need 4x4 if venturing out from the main areas. Fishing is steady. Lots of pike, walleye, and whitefish biting.

I've been here more than once, this will be a bit difficult to get out.

Fuel tanker plunges through Déline, N.W.T., ice road today.

Déline is on Great Bear Lake, great place for monster lakers.
