Vortex all the way. Bought some this last season and for 250-300$ can’t beat the clarity and the warranty. But binoculars usually come as 8x42 or 10x42 or 25x50 and so on there’s many various sizes and zooms. I think your referring to how a scope is sized with those numbers.

I really like the Meopta Meopro HD Binos that I bought last year. Great quality glass in the price range you’re looking at.

On the cheaper side, I bought some of these Celestron ones off Amazon for my kids in 8x25 and they're stunning for the price. My other gear is all mid-range Vortex or Leupold.
They make 10x50s - might be an option.

I’ve had top end bumps for a long time. Either Swarovski or Leica and currently use Leica Geovids.
I bought my kids each a pair of Cabelas HD (Intensity???) 10x42 binos and was really impressed. They both had Leopold before and these are much better. Worth a look and they were around $320 iirc

Budget: You can buy Mavens for mid $400 range, c/w a satisfaction guarantee (refund). Excellent glass for the money. I have had a few mid range binos and hated them all.
Bigger budget: Swarovskis, Leica, higher end Zeiss, Meopta

I have leupold and my wife has vortex binos. Both around the $350 range. I would recommend either. Vortexes may have been a few bucks cheaper.

Nikon monarch 7 and vortex viper are both great options in the 600-700 range. I tried both at cabelas and thought the Nikon’s were better , but vortex has a much better warranty

Pentax and Nikon would be two manufacturers that have very good value in the upper mid range priced binoculars.

If you're getting them for hunting, get a 10x . . .As mentioned, Vortex 'Diamondback' is a good value for the $$ with a good guarantee. The Leupold bino's are made offshore. Have their 'Pinnacle' in 10x42 . . . good quality. Wife has the 'Diamondbacks' . . likes them.

If I wasn't flush with gear, here is a decent deal on an OBO as well...

Vortex Diamondback. Can't beat the warranty and the glass is real nice for the price.

You definitely owe it to yourself to check out the Bino offerings from Meopta. Something for almost any budget and all with glass that will make your buddies think you spent more than you did. From the Optika line through MeoStar, and now a binorangefinder on the horizon, tough to beat Euro quality.

I've had Pentax Bino's for 30+ years, No issues, they stay in the truck and have taken some abuse

So last November all 3 of my brothers joined me hunting. The youngest has a set of Swarovski bino's that I thought were simply amazing (they are).....but expensive (they are). Our oldest brother showed up wtih these :
Vortex Diamondback HD 10x42 Binoculars
When younger brother compared side-by-side, he said the Vortex were easily comparable to the Swaro's and said he couldn't see any difference. In fact, younger brother said he was going to buy a pair of the Vortex (he doesn't actually own the Swarovski's, get borrowed them from work). Oldest brother said he got his on sale for under $300 (I don't remember how much he said but I'm pretty sure it was close to $200)
I compared both and couldn't see a difference so I'm now keeping my eyes open for a pair of the Vortex on sale.

You get what you pay for. Vortex are not in the same league as Swarovski or Leica for extended use when hunting
