See if Radium and Fairmont are open.

Nice to soak in the pool with the snow falling down!

We were there the summer before last and it was open. Lussier hot springs for those who wish to look it up, about as rustic / barely developed as it gets, which is perfect. A few pools made by placing large rocks where the hot springs merge with the river. No buildings, no gift shop, just two sources of water merging.

This is still open. I know the one you are referencing though, and yes, unfortunately forever altered.

My wife and I got up there a few years ago. Other than a creep old guy that kept encouraging us to go nude we had the place to ourselves.

Hot springs on the Alberta side are few and far between.

I never got into bathing with others. I know it’s a thing for some, but nope....

I can’t even do public pools like most...

We were at Radium just in October, so they were open.

But if you want to go to some hot springs in BC you better hurry up before Horgan closes the provincial borders.

just saying.

Lussier River is definitely closed because of COVID. Drove by yesterday, and there is a sign on the highway.

Looks like Nakusp is open but only to residents within the Nakusp boundary.

We were at Nakusp a couple months ago and it was running at decreased numbers so you had to call and book a time to get in. Drive a little further towards Revelstoke and you can get into halfway hotsprings.

The 11km logging road leading to the hot springs is not plowed in winter and you'd either have to snow shoe up there or take a skidoo. Just keep in mind that the mountains there are protected because of the Caribou and you therefore cannot take the skidoo on the mountain.

It's a trek up a logging road that will take you an hour or two, depending on your fitness, but as of a couple days ago some were getting up the road with chains on their trucks.

It has changed very nice natural blue/green stone. Mud is more to the back in the canal. Still a nice spot to cool off.

For me , that is the attraction . A dammed up creek flowing boiling water and a giant heated pond , dirt , rock , gravel , mud and all . I've been to hot springs where the only thing that was original was the water . Its diverted , heated , and directed into cement swimming pools . Still nice and relaxing but i preferred the " all natural " hot spring where the only thing man made was the weir to create the pool in the creek . At liard the kids/grandkids floated and played for hours downstream of the weir with life jackets .
