Fished the Northern side yesterday. A bit cold to start but a nice day. Most are driving on now. A good 18-20 inch average on ice. Some places more.

Caught 4 pike, no keepers and one very nice white. Lost 2 other whites. Seen one perch and one walleye. Not an amazing day but will do fine. Under the snow, that ice is polished. Hard for a skidoo pulling some weight.

Very easy to drive on now for most of the lake. My advice is get out of Brownlows, Sandy point is a better bet.

Cheers,

Scott.

Scott & I are heading out tomorrow, I promise to drop by your shed before we depart for home and GPS the spot I recommended to see where you are.

If your within 7-10 feet of the waypoint I suggest you hold tight, will update tomorrow.

Cheers

David

Happy .... my waypoint is 60-65 ft northeast of your shed, you need to move next time you're out. If that spot doesn't produce after a couple of outings, continue a bit further north to 8-10 FOW.

Yes ... Gull was slow today, too!

Went out Sunday got a hole punched around three and hammered pike like crazy. I was looking for walleye but in 1 hour I had landed 5 pike and lost 2-3 I've never hit pike after pike like that before. Fun but where are the big walleye....I guess I'll keep looking. Sounds like guys are getting them real shallow....maybe I'll try in a bit. Lots of ice! Hand auger is getting tougher. North side of the lake by that raymon shores place. 10 fow 18+ inches

A slow day last Wednesday off Sandy beach. Three of us all day in the sun.
13 - all released - including pike, walleyes, perch and a big white sucker but no whitefish or burbs. Fished 8' - 25' depths. Water was very murky.
