Default My boys first fishing outing!

Yep I'm starting him early. He's been out many times still in momma's belly but his first time out and about. Since it was such as nice sunndy +7 chinook day out there, I came home from work a little eary to take the family out. Went to Chestermere, 7 FOW (very murky), fished for 45 minutes and got one pike. Caught on a len thompson red/white jigging quite agressively.

First time out, but won't be our last! He was on my lap when I saw the fish on the flasher, seconds after fish on. Just about dropped him LOL.

Good job man. That is the first of many many memories the two of you will share fishing together. Just think 40 years from now he will be the one holding you up on the ice... Cheers

Good to see the young guns getting out Stang.

I took my little guy out in fall to park lake on the boat with mamma also. We trolled some cranks around for awhile and hammered the little gators. Every time we brought one to the side of the boat my little dog would go nuts as usual and my boy would start laughing like crazy. I can't wait until I can get him out on the ice a few times and also back on the boat.

Awesome pics. I guess I would have a similar expression on my face if I seen a pike the size of me. Lol. Excellent pics.

Thanks all for the replies. Can't wait for him to be a little older

Not sure on size of pike, definitely longer than him but not 15 lbs LOL. I'd say it was about 60-65 cm.
