Good video...looks like a lot of flocks would have worked closer had you not called the shot early. With that being said, birds always look further away on camera.

Im the same. Total withdrawl. Ive talked to landowners already for the spring shoot. Decoys are unpacked, checked and repacked. Shells were bought and packed.

New shotgun, waiting on chokes to show up so i can pattern gun. Pins and Needles....

Just waiting on "the call" to hitch up to trailer and hit the road.

Cant come soon enough..... I'll i have is videos and re-read tips to keep my hunger fed....

Thanks for the post. The geese were spooky as it looks as though it was late season and they were likely pounded more than Bob Villia's left thumb. Take them while you can some days, even at 30-40 yards. Thanks again for sharing.

Booked my first go at spring snows in Sask. Cannot Wait.

Looks crazy to be under flocks like those.

Some guys just NEVER get the hang of shooting them in the head - THAT is where you are supposed to be aiming!!
The rooster was even closer than the duck was!
At ten or 20 feet you are going to put a hole in them with a wad even with a 410 if you hit the breast.

Always funny to watch one of those birds that just explodes in a mass of feathers, then hear the "ooops, killed 'em too good". The odd one that gets blown backwards over a lucky duck always gets a round of razzing going.

Hornhead and I got onto a rooster at the same time a few years back and POOF!! Feathers everywhere and one wing pinwheeling down to the ground!!
The wing that came off was about all the body damage that was done, the other shot went right into the head!
I won't say who got the head shot, but he was broadside and the bird was tight quartering ( almost a back shot) away from me!
