Default Police taser deer...any thoughts?

Well, I saw this yesterday and pretty wild stuff. I guess it solved the problem.

Myself, I thought it to be pretty clever. Maybe a little risky towards the deer in the respect that I don't know if a deer being stunned like that before. By doing it he saved a whole pile of money for the tax Paterson too of making himself look like a hero and just doing something good.

And yes, saving the tax payers money, in a sense, because he didn't call it in and get another 20 people involved only to send out F&W to do basically the same thing with a tranquilizer dart instead of the tazer.

It's nice to hear about police stories like this rather than the ones we hear about most of the time.

Good thinking. Why did they knock the antler off the live animal though? I would've taken it off the dead animal. The deer's head being vibrated around by the saw probably caused the disorientation upon wake-up, not the taser.

Default Antler

The live deer will grow a new one next year. The dead deers rack is ruined if you cut it. Looks to me like CO's should be carrying tazers as well as tranq guns

Maybe someone wants the rack...

Either way, deer lives to fight another day
