Powder coating

I was at a pronature store yesterday for some fishing tackle. At the gun counter there are 2 guy’s. They are talking about powder coating a rifle that was in need of a blueing job. Im wondering about they’re project about baking that rifle for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees.
