Default Another family companion gone

For the second time in the last six months, I’m going to say goodbye to a loyal friend, my dog Gus. It tears my guts out when I have do this, but it’s his time. He’s gone blind, has been on meds for another condition and he’s not eating or drinking. I will always relish the welcome home loves he always had for me.
I don’t know if I can ever have another dog. It’s the fifth time I’ve had to do this and I don’t have it in me anymore to do it again. G’Bye my boy. I’ve loved you.

Sorry to hear this...the memories will eventually turn your tears to a smile and many stories of your buddy.

Remember all dogs go to heaven, my condolences also. Remember all your times together with your buddy, no one can ever take away those memories, and the special bond you shared with Gus!

Condolences. We just list our Brittany last week., heartbroken for sure. I feel you're pain. Grieve awhile, have pics framed, share with family and friends, have some sort if closure. That is working for us, best wishes sent you're way.

Default Another family member

That is so hard. Been there too. It brings a tear to my eye reading this. Condolences to you and your family. The only bad thing about a family dog is that they aren’t with us long enough.

I feel for ya Bro my old Girl Lab is 14.5 yrs old am dreading whats to come.

She was a royal pain in the ass, Insisted on sleeping ion my side of the bed when I was absent pillow always stank of dog, Separation anxiety, Meat thief, Ate seat belts if left alone in truck and you were out of her sight for over 30 seconds, If a muskrat was in my pond she would not rest till she had it killed and eaten, Same with meadow vole's constantly needed worming she ate so many had to supplement barn cats food and if given a chance she'd clean that out as well , anything less than 6 foot fence to keep her contained, Actually managed to break and exit an HD wire frame dog cage Had a real thing for removing a rooster or gooses tail feathers.

Best protector we ever had no bark all bite and never till a real threat happened. Why is it the ones that are the most trouble end up being the one's ya love the most.

Been there done that, been a few years now since my last Gsp died at 16. The pull for another grows stronger as each year passes.

Condolences and take care. We know how your feeling.

Gus, what a wonderful name for a dog. I am sorry for your dog, companions are always hard to say goodbye to, friends even harder.

Sorry to hear.

No one truly knows the pain until they have had to say goodbye to a good friend.
