The price of every consumer product we purchase, and every service we use, will cost more. Every product costs more to ship, and every store, office and warehouse has to be heated. When you call a plumber, or an electrician, they also have to pay more to travel, and they pay more for tools and materials. Every one of these extra costs will be passed onto the consumer, so this carbon tax, in effect, creates pretty much instant inflation.

Isn’t it great! Inflation goes up but the wage doesn’t.

Our buying power is reduced, and our standard of living is reduced, thanks to Trudeau.

That is sparkle socks mandate. He will not stop until he has obliterated the oil and gas industry or crippled it that there will never be a recovery

And that is the truth of it this government was re-elected by people knowing that this tax was not only going to remain but be increased .

Thumbs down

LLoydminster is on the way up, if there is mention of a spike anywhere, it happens there first. Most places are now at $1.069 now

Was 104.9 in Peace River a few days ago (it seems it’s been 104.9 for months); 107.9 today.

Funny here gas went up to 111.9, but diesel remained the same at 119.9?

Yup, Lloyd is quick to go up and slow to go down, most of the time they are 7 - 10 cents higher than most places around here, we took the grandkids back to spruce grove on Monday, gas was 102.9 in Lloyd , 94.9 in Vegreville and 88.9 in Spruce Grove, talked to our daughter yesterday and she said gas in Spruce Grove was up to 94.9 here in Lloyd 106.9

It will end up like BC carbon tax. First there were rebates for a while. Now it goes into general revenue.

Well with world oil price (Brent Crude)just under $70/barrel today with Trump playing reckless by killing top Iranian General you can probably add another 10 cents a liter at the pump. Only positive, it will probably indirectly help our Alberta Oil Industry.

Resurrect last years thread on gas prices. Gas is up 20 cents a litre at Costco in the last month. Costco prices their gas pretty close to the wholesale price so you can tell it has gone up too, and the carbon tax increase hasn't even kicked in yet. Ken's earlier prediction of a 35 cent rise in the price of gas was poo pooed, may turn out to have ben on the low side.
