Default moderator selection

Maybe a silly question, but HOW do people become "moderators" here?

A simple game of pin the tail on the grizzly bear after a 26 of vodka is often the way most outdoors forums choose the MODs

Rumour has it that SNS2 had to remove xmas lights from a rather large bull moose to become a mod.

But, seriously pm admin your question.

Well you gotta be well rounded (not mid section), able to sit back and attempt to analyze the intent of the thread, post etc then and only then step in to adjust accordingly as per the forum rules...some may not like the mods decision and some may....kinda like being a LEO or a sports official.....

Your basic Alberta Red Neck need not apply.

Most forums are always looking for volunteers. Being a Mod is a lot of work and very little gratitude. Pretty much all Forums have trouble getting enough Mods to spread the work out so one or two aren't over loaded. If you are interested in moderating let Pixel or Admin know and they will talk to you about it.

I thought you were just muttering in your soup when you brought up that question on the ice yesterday. I guess if the fish had been biting would never had crossed your mind.

I hear that passing the swimsuit-competition portion of the selection process is quite liberating!

The party was going swimmingly until Pixel took off his chartreuse g-string. Straight downhill after that

QUALIFIER 1: must shoot ancient cartridges that can be timed with a sundial, dating to pre civil war....30-06 for example

QUALIFIER 2: Minimum 40 plaid articles of clothing in closet...one of which must be a suit. Brownie points if you own a Fudd hat and suspenders which....if you shoot a 30-06, are a given

QUALIFIER 3: Large fluffy moustache...preferably handlebar..ish. Preference given to those that can link to outcroppings of ear and nose hair.

QUALIFIER 4: Must drive an Asian built "truck" and actually consider yourself a "truck" driver

Some things can't be un-seen, some questions should never be answered, but here goes. Was this a stoic moose or a talking one ??

You have to befriend the administrator and convince them to make you a moderator. If they have weird fetishes, then be prepared to indulge them.

In order to even qualify for further selection process, one has to be a good-standing member of the “twoonie club”. Then they see how your spine shots are. The next step is your ability to put three deer in the freezer. Think that’s easy enough, you are wrong. One buck has to be shot in the head. One in the spine, but preferably in the middle between neck and tail for most backstrap spoilage. The third one can be a doe, but you have to make sure that when she runs after the first hit, the next cartridge you try to chamber is from another rifle of the same caliber; bonus points if the cartridge doesn’t fit. The time is yet to tell what the next round in the selection process is. Oh, almost forgot, you also need to post a bunch of very short stories from decades ago, but you have to write it so that most readers get confused and think that this is something that happened very recently.
