Default Bullet pointing and trimming

have been reading with admitted interest about bullet pointing for OTM bullets. Whidden does make a die for this. Myself I have been shooting for many years but not overly experienced as just getting feet wet in Benchrest . Just thought it was interesting but have much more of the basics to learn IE: walk before i run. Anybody tried it....results ?
Thanks

I shoot 180 Berger hybrids for f-class.
I trim and point all of my bullets. And yes I have seen improvements.
I would say more consistent.
I do it not so much for bc increase. But to make them all more consistent.
A lot depends on the range you are shooting.
And yes I have tested pointed and non pointed bullets at 1000 yards.
I trim mine using a giraud trimmer, and I use Hoover pointing dies, which I believe are about the best.
