Default Huge Walleye, small water!

Here's a 32 1/2" walleye from yesterday, approximate weight 12 1/2 lbs taken on a 1/8 ounce jig, small frozen minnow, and ultralight rod with 6 lb. line. The smaller creek was only about 2 ft. deep maximum. I also was able to catch a 6 lb walleye, a 4 lb. walleye, and several 3 lb walleye all within a couple of hours.

You don't need a $50,000 boat, fancy depth finders, etc. to catch big walleye, you can do it from the shore easily, especially late in the fall before freeze-up. Plus you may be surprised in how small a flow of river/creek they will be in this time of year.

I'd be glad to tell you the name of this body of water! Its xcvlvusllxx. Opps, sorry for some reason my keyboard isn't functioning now....

that's a mud-eye

if the creek dries up they bury deep in the mud and resurface after the rainy season...honest.

Kinda reminds me of the walleye that get caught in the irrigation canal once the flow has been turned off. They wind up sometimes in water less than 2 ft and eventually drown.

When I wore a younger mans cloths many would use nets and pull them out, walleye, pike whites. Now you need a salvage permit.

Very nice Walleye! Well done!

Thanks for posting a picture otherwise it'd be an Alberta record 17.5 lb Walleye...

All kidding aside... that's truly a beauty and one to be proud of!!
