Default 2020 Pheasant Release Sites

I am heading to Daysland Monday for my first trip of the year.

How have the early season hunting at the sites been going. I usually don't head out till October as I am usually in the Elk woods at this time of year. I have never been out this early.

Thanks in advance for any replies. Hope everyone is having a fun and safe season.

Thanks
Tony

I have been out four times this year, we took birds every time, but we definitely aren't seeing as many birds as in previous years.

I haven't been to that particular site but I have gotten out a couple times with my new dog.

Cover was fairly thick and there were more hunters onsite for a weekday compared to years past. New dog has a lot to learn but is finding birds. Looking at the energy levels at a one year old dog vs. my 10 year old gives me mixed feelings (happy for the young, sad for the old guy).

Would like to get a melanistic pheasant at some point this season...
